Will you give God the chance to radically change your life?
Five years
ago Chi Alpha began something we call Project 222. Project is based on the model laid out in 2
Timothy 2:2: “The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” This i
dea of teaching someone to teach others what you have learned is called discipleship. In the past, Project has gone to Spain, Morocco and Thailand. By taking Project to South Africa this summer, we hope to take further steps toward walking out the things that God is teaching us as a ministry about caring for the poor and oppressed. Why has Chi Alpha decided that it’s a good idea to take a group of university students to the other side of the world? Estimates say that there are 40.3 million people living with AIDS today; 65% of them in Africa. There are few people in the world who understand suffering and oppression like an African AIDS orphan. These children are often denied medical care, schooling and inheritances because of fear, social stigmatization, and the prevailing mentality that they are just going to die anyway. They are why we are going to South Africa. Get the full story by checking out the information packet and video we’ve put together.
